Christine O’Donnell Curses Mitt Romney With Endorsement:
It’s difficult to see how Romney can survive receiving the support of O’Donnell on the heels of Dan Quayle’s endorsement — talk about getting hit when you’re down — but the campaign has taken the announcement in stride, touting O’Donnell’s conservative credentials and anti-establishment cachet. And perhaps Romney needs all the endorsers he can get, ever since Newt Gingrich announced the support of The Illinois African American Libertarian Alliance (presumably, Newt has the vote of both members!).
Nevertheless, I doubt Iowa’s all-important warlock vote is going to be swayed by O’Donnell’s announcement. If legions of Dungeons and Dragons nerds are going crawl out of their basements and face the prospect of social interaction at a caucus meeting, it’s probably going to be in the service of libertarian gnome Ron Paul.
